Digital Health - Health apps
Effectiveness Research and Methodological Recommendations
Mobile digital health solutions, such as smartphone apps, open up innovative opportunities to promote self-care and improve access to health-enhancing interventions. For over 15 years, we have been deeply engaged in researching app-based self-care interventions.
Our clinical focus areas include women's health—particularly menstrual pain—along with relaxation and mindfulness for individuals with chronic musculoskeletal pain and those with cancer. We have conducted numerous randomized studies, demonstrating that also fully digital, as well as international app studies, are feasible.
Our findings emphasize that agility and a user-centered approach are essential for developing sustainable and evidence-based mHealth interventions.
Additionally, through consensus processes, we have developed recommendations for randomized studies and systematic reviews of mobile health interventions.
